DVB launches task force to support DVB-I implementers
May 13, 2025

The DVB Project has announced a new initiative dedicated to supporting companies and organisations deploying DVB-I services and technologies. The DVB-I Implementers Task Force aims to foster collaboration, share expertise, and promote a harmonised approach to DVB-I implementation across different markets.
“The launch of this task force reflects DVB’s commitment to not only developing open specifications but also supporting their real-world deployment,” said Ranjeet Kaur, Programme Director at Digital TV Group (DTG), who will chair the new group. “By bringing implementers together, we hope to encourage dialogue, tackle common challenges, and work towards interoperability and a thriving DVB-I ecosystem.”
The DVB-I Implementers Task Force, a subgroup of DVB’s commercial working group on DVB-I, is open to all DVB Members, offering a forum to exchange insights, discuss deployment experiences, and collaborate on solutions to technical and operational challenges. Its activities are expected to benefit both early adopters and those considering DVB-I implementation, by providing access to shared knowledge and peer support.
In addition to strengthening collaboration among existing Members, the task force also signals DVB’s growing emphasis on implementation support, offering added value to membership for companies seeking to deploy DVB technologies.
The task force will convene its first meeting in the coming weeks.
