Malone: “TV Everywhere is TV Nowhere”

John Malone, chairman of Liberty Media, has suggested that cable operator ‘TV Everywhere’ offerings are flops. “TV Everywhere is TV Nowhere,” he said at Liberty’s shareholder meeting.
Malone made his comments in support of his pitch for Charter acquiring Time Warner Cable. He said further consolidation and better cooperation could help the “dysfunctional” industry deliver more innovative products and decent service.
“It is still an opportunity to cooperate across these consolidated platforms in business to business, and have a national branded consistent business,” he suggested, rather than each operator sticking to its own footprint.
