ITV: 7.7m watch England v Fiji QF

ITV’s coverage of the Rugby World Cup quarter final between England and Fiji on October 15th peaked with 7.7 million viewers, with an average of 4.2 million and a 39 per cent audience share – with England going through to the semi-final on October 21st. The match coverage was the biggest audience for a quarter final in 20 years.
The quarter final between France and South Africa later that day peaked with 6.6 million viewers, with an average of 4 million and a per cent share – with South Africa victorious and set to play England next.
The two matches are the highest of the tournament so far.
On October 14th, the quarter final between Wales and Argentina peaked at 5.4 million, with an average of 3.2 million and a 33 per cent share. Ireland versus New Zealand peaked with 6.3 million, with an average of 4 million and a 26 per cent share. Argentina will play New Zealand on October 20th in the other semi-final.
So far the tournament has been streamed 37 million times on ITVX, has reached 28 million viewers in total and 52 per cent of men in the UK.
