France: TFI acquires UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 rights
September 29, 2023
TF1 group has acquired the rights to the Women’s Euro 2025, which will be hosted in Switzerland in July 2025. The deal includes the linear and streaming rights in France to the 31 matches in the tournament.
At the last Women’s Euro tournament in 2022, the French team’s semi-final defeat attracted more than 6 million viewers on TF1, the biggest ever audience for a UEFA Women’s Euro match on any channel.
François Pellissier, TF1 group Executive Vice President Business & Sport, commented: “We’re delighted to offer extensive coverage to women’s sport, so that it can reach the widest possible audience. Acquiring the rights to the UEFA WOMEN’S EURO 2025, one of the stand-out sporting events of 2025, is further proof of our ambition of making the biggest events accessible to French viewers free of charge.”
