Netflix has revealed that subscribers in the UK will be able to watch South Park on the streaming service later this month.
Announcing the news via a tweet, Netflix wrote: “Oh my God, they killed Kenny and put South Park on Netflix.”
The streaming service will host seasons 1, 18, 19, 20 and 21 of the long-running US animated series from September 27th – as well as a collection of “critically acclaimed episodes” (whch they’ve vowed to elaborate on at a later date).
When quizzed on why season 2 to 17 were missing, Netflix replied: “Content licensing is a strange and wonderful world”.
South Park, created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone, has been running since 1997, and spawned a feature length movie in 1999 which is already available on Netflix.
