Report: Apple TV+ November launch at $9.99

According to reports originating from Bloomberg, Apple will launch its TV+ SVoD service in November, and it will be priced at $9.99 (€9) following a free month trial. The service will launch globally in over 150 countries.
Disney Plus revealed yesterday that it will launch on November 12th in certain countries, and Bloomberg suggests that Apple wants to be available at – or before – the Disney launch.
This slew of offerings is seen as very price sensitive given that similar OTT services are also coming from Comcast and WarnerMedia.
Apple is also said to be considering offering the first three episodes of new programming at launch and thereafter screening each episode on a weekly basis.
The FT reports that Apple TV+ has already committed to spending $6 billion plus on original shows and movies. One high-profile show, The Morning Show [pictured] – starring Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon and Steve Carell – has already cost Apple “hundreds of millions in spending” at a rate per episode that’s supposedly higher than HBO’s Game of Thrones.
