Mediaset Infinity VoD on Chromecast
July 18, 2014
From Branislav Pekic in Rome
Infinity, the VoD service of Italian commercial broadcaster Mediaset, is now available on Chromecast.
Users of Google’s streaming media device, launched in Italy last March for €35.00, can access Infinity’s catalogue of movies and TV series. The subscription costs €6.99 per month for access via tablet, smartphone or PC, while the subscription for viewing on the TV set is €9.99.
The extension of Infinity to Chromecast devices has been made possible by an application developed by Accenture’s Digital Acceleration Center in Rome. The Accenture Video Solution (AVS) is already used by leading media and telecom groups in Europe, including BT and KPN.
The new Infinity app is already available on Google’s Play Store for Android devices and will soon also be added to the Apple Store.
