Taiwan forms Internet TV alliance

The Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers’ Association (TEEMA) and government-sponsored Taiwan Digital Television Committee (DTVC), under the auspices of the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA), have confirmed the formation of an Internet TV Alliance by related Taiwan-based enterprises, aiming to tap the Internet TV service and hardware market in China.
Members of the alliance include makers of LCD TVs, IP STBs, network/communication equipment as well as Chunghwa Telecom (IPTV service), TV broadcasters such as Taiwan Television Enterprise and digital content providers, DTVC indicated.
