TMS boosts Verizon content discovery
September 5, 2013
Entertainment navigation specialist TMS and Verizon have agreed a deal which will see the telco use a range of TMS products in FiOS TV entertainment guides available across multiple platforms. This effort makes it even easier for Verizon FiOS customers to find and watch the entertainment they’re most interested in whether it’s on linear TV, on demand or online and whether they’re at home or on the go.
Verizon will use TMS solutions to power all of its FiOS TV entertainment platforms from set-top boxes, to PCs, tablets and other mobile devices. This covers all FiOS TV entertainment fronts from Live TV guide data to Flex View services. Flex View allows Verizon customers to buy or rent popular TV shows and movies on their set top boxes and across a variety of Internet-connected devices.
John Kelleher, President and Chief Operating Officer of TMS suggested that using TMS’s information in FiOS TV guide products would enable advanced entertainment discovery and increased engagement among Verizon subscribers, ultimately leading to increased consumption of their services.
