Spain’s fifth largest operator Euskaltel, controlled by UK’s Zegona, is seeking a new president following the news that current president Alberto Garcia Erauzkin will not stand for the post in 2020.

The company is looking for a president with “no executive functions” to replace Garcia Erauzkin, who joined Euskaltel in 1998 as a Finance Director and took the presidency role in 2011.

In July, Zegona appointed a new CEO, José Miguel García, former CEO of Jazztel, who is the real bigwig of the company.

Euskaltel is now involved in a national expansion throughout Spain in a bid to cement its place as the fifth biggest telco in the country.
