Forecast: SE Asia to hit 52m broadband subs in 2023
August 30, 2019
The South East Asia fixed broadband market is expected to grow from 38 million subscribers in 2018 to around 52 million in 2023, according to forcasts from Dataxis. This represents a 37 per cent growth over the period.
While it is a sizable number, it needs to be put in relation with the growing population likely to achieve 700 million in 5 years: the current penetration of fixed broadband represents around 23 per cent of households, a number that is predicted to reach 27 per cent in 2023.
