WildEarth, the live wildlife TV experience, has announced a new leadership team. WildEarth has appointed the newly founded agency, Everyday Africa, with a management contract to execute a new strategy that aims to revolutionise African storytelling and lay the foundation for WildEarth to be one of the most trusted brand in African Safari travel.
Everyday Africa, co-founded by Marc Jury (former CEO of Multichoice SA and SuperSport), and Gareth Whitaker (of T+W), will assume leadership control of the business. Internally, a refreshed leadership lineup includes James Hendry assuming the role of Chief Operating Officer. Hendry, the accomplished safari guide and author, steps up from his current role as Head of Live Content and Ops.
“Our core purpose remains unchanged: to connect people to nature and help them fall in love with the wild,” commented Jury. “With the new team in place alongside James (Hendry), we’re ready to reimagine the live safari experience. Our commitment to viewers is to bring even more compelling stories from Africa’s wilderness to living rooms worldwide. The big change for us is our long-term ambition to be the most trusted brand in Safari Travel in Africa. Africa is the most wonderful travel destination, and we look forward to showcasing the beauty of the African continent to millions of people around the world. In short, we want to take the magic of Africa to the world, with the intention of bringing the world to Africa.”
WildEarth’s renewed focus to showcase Africa as a tourism destination includes securing new broadcast locations across multiple African countries, launching innovative programming, and deepening community engagement.
WildEarth Chairman, Andre Crawford-Brunt, added: “We are beyond excited about bringing Marc and Gareth onto the Largest Safari Vehicle in the World to lift the quality of our storytelling from iconic locations across the African continent. This fits well with the establishment of WildEarth Travel and the opportunity to get viewers off their lounge suites and into game vehicles to come and experience the wonder of African travel.”
