FAST Channels TV unveils new lower-cost playout options
May 14, 2025
FASTchannels.TV, a leading provider of Free Ad-Supported Streaming TV (FAST) solutions, has announced a new, budget-friendly pricing model that dramatically reduces the barrier to launching FAST linear channels. Starting at just $250 per month, the new model eliminates the high upfront costs traditionally associated with playout technology and services.
Designed for content owners, distributors, and platform partners, the updated Standard Playout offering makes it faster and more affordable to build and distribute FAST channels across connected TV and OTT platforms.
Two Flexible Models Now Available:
Option 1: Revenue Share Model
Ideal for those looking to monetize alongside distribution platforms. No setup cost, and the monthly fee acts as a minimum guarantee (MG) against FASTChannels.tv’s revenue share.
-
Standard Playout: $250/month MG
-
Advanced Playout: $750/month MG
-
Includes SSAI, Ad Server, Ad Ops, and CDN
-
Revenue Share: 35% Content Owner / 35% OTT Platform / 30% FASTChannels.tv
Option 2: Technology Licensing Model
For those preferring a flat-fee, no-revenue-share approach. This model offers complete control over monetization and infrastructure.
-
$250/month for the first output URL$150/month for each additional output URL
-
No setup fee

You provide SSAI, Ad Server, and CDN

“Our goal is to empower more content owners to enter the FAST market without the heavy costs and complexity seen with traditional playout vendors,” said Russell Foy, Co-Founder of FASTChannels.tv. “Whether you’re a solo creator or a major OTT platform, we now have a pricing structure that works for you.”
