RunGP to stream for free on DAZN
April 4, 2025
DAZN, the sports streaming platform, is partnering with the Global Running League (‘GRL’) to broadcast all RunGP events this year live and for free to fans worldwide.
RunGP is a new series of competitive running events backed by Sir Mo Farah with the inaugural event to be held at the Lusail International Circuit in Qatar on May 9th-10th. Unlike traditional marathon racing, RunGP introduces a team-based format, integrating pro athletes, influencers and celebrity-backed squads to engage competitors and fans.
RunGP has also announced Team Shadow Vipers as the first team for its debut season, which will be captained by Olympic silver medallist Paul Chelimo. The team will feature some of the world’s most elite runners, including:
- Luis Orta, Venezuelan Olympian and long-distance runner
- Valentino Agnelli, professional triathlete
- Hiruni Wijayaratne, South Asian gold medallist and road and track record holder
- Nell Rojas, two-time top American at the Boston Marathon
- Molly Grabill, top ten finisher at the USATF 10,000m Championships
- Joselyn Brea, two-time Duathlon World Championships gold medallist
Three other teams will be confirmed later this April.
RunGP’s events will be available alongside DAZN’s ever-expanding portfolio of free, multi-sport content from both established and emerging sports properties.
