Spain: Cable operators launch Zapi OTT service

Local TV and smaller cable operators have partnered to launch a new OTT platform, Zapi, aimed at becoming the fourth such service in Spain.
The OTT service is backed by Plataforma Multimedia de Operadores, integrated by local TV Associations Acutel and Aotec, Opencable and PYV Telecom. The platform has an agreement with software provider Mirada which has equipped the OTT platform with Iris solution for Android.
Zapi includes all the latest functionalities such as personal recommendations, DVR cloud, Parental Control, Catch-up and N-Startover and on-demand content, among others.
