In addition to its existing coverage of France’s football Ligue 1, Top 14 Rugby Union and F1, pay-TV operator Canal+ is enhancing its Ultra HD sport offering.
From August 11th, Canal+ subscribers have been able to access the headline Premier League match each weekend on Canal+ UHD. Beginning September 30th, they will have access to a second Premier League game in the same 4K quality.
This encounter, broadcast on Canal+SPORT, is also available via Canal+ SPORT UHD and the Canal 4K Evènement channel (Channel 18).
The first such games are: Manchester United vs Arsenal on September 30th – and Newcastle vs Manchester United on October 6th.
In addition, for fans of rugby, from the first game on September 20th up until November 2nd , the TF1 4K service, which is offered via Canal 4K Evènement, will show the entire Rugby World Cup in Ultra HD.
The Canal+ UHD offer is available with the new Canal+ 4K Ultra UHD set-top box (receivable via satellite or Internet), the Orange fibre UHD, the Apple TV 4K, or a Samsung smart TV.
