Screen expands to connected TV
December 14, 2011
Screen has further expanded its product portfolio of broadcast solutions to include connected TV.
Having only recently acquired fellow broadcast technology company SysMedia, Screen has announced that it has obtained the On Screen Publishing connected TV solution, now named ‘SceenConnect’, which allows the content owners to easily deploy and manage services across a range of connected TV platforms.
Its creator and On Screen Publishing director, Gordon Maynard has also joined the team at Screen as the product manager for connected TV.
As a former BBC employee and part of the team that formed Teletext on ITV and Channel 4, Maynard went on to transform Teletext from an analogue-only service to an operation which could publish content across all digital TV platforms as well as mobile and the web.
