Groovy Gecko and Kaltura offer integrated online video
October 18, 2011
Groovy Gecko, a specialist provider of on-demand streaming and live webcasting, and Kaltura, developer of an open source video platform, has announced a partnership to distribute Kaltura’s online video platform with Groovy Gecko’s streaming and webcasting services.
The platform will allow Groovy Gecko’s clients to create an integrated video ‘ecosystem’. This will enable them to easily store and manage all of their online video assets, both those created by Groovy Gecko, and from other sources, and easily publish them across the web with full multiple bit rate web and mobile support.
As clients can add metadata directly to the uploaded files, these become fully searchable, and websites can be created that are completely content driven and essentially ‘build themselves’ as new videos are uploaded.
