Youku revenue increases 900%

Victor Koo, CEO of online video-sharing portal Youku, says it can now guarantee more than RMB10 million of revenue each month, adding that year-on-year revenue growth for the previous month was 900 per cent.
Youku’s application to the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television (SARFT) for a licence to provide 3G video services is currently being reviewed, Koo said, adding that Youku will not fully develop mobile video applications until 2010.
