CTA: 4K adoption faster than HD

Consumer take-up of 4K Ultra HD TV sets is happening at a faster rate than was the case for HD, according to Gary Shapiro, President of the Consumer Technology Association. Speaking at the Welcome To The Future! Event in San Francisco, Shapiro told delegates that 4K Ultra HDs make up nearly 50 per cent of all TV set sales. “And of course, just about every TV over 50 inches now is 4K Ultra HD,” he added.
