MobiTV reports record 167m mins of mobile TV
October 10, 2011
MobiTV, a mobile TV solutions company, has revealed that during the month of September 2011, US consumers viewed more than 167 million minutes of mobile television on MobiTV-powered services – the highest total for any month in MobiTV history. Of note, 65 per cent of the minutes viewed were live programming.
The viewership illustrates continued consumer interest and demand for live mobile content coupled with the popularity of college football and the NFL season.
Live events have driven the largest peaks in mobile viewing — from President Obama’s inauguration to this year’s Royal wedding, the mobile TV solutions company continues to deliver high-quality live streamed content to viewers on-the-go.
