5 has confirmed its refreshed daytime line-up for 2026, unveiling a new talk show fronted by Matt Allwright as it invests further in in the schedule and expands its output with ITN Productions. Storm Huntley is set to welcome new co-host Alexis Conran, Jeremy Vine will continue in his regular slot, while Vanessa Feltz will round off the 5 daytime schedule between 2-3pm with a revamped viewer focused show.

5 says the updated schedule reinforces its commitment to live content and follows a period of exceptional growth across linear and digital for its daytime output.

Allwright’s show will offer intelligent debate on the day’s biggest stories, lively audience interaction, and consumer insight. The programme will air Monday to Thursday from 12:50pm to 2:00pm, with episodes available to stream on 5 following their linear transmission.

Huntley continues to be a driving force in 5’s daytime success. Her late-morning show has built a strong community of viewers, averaging a 4 per cent share, up 14 per cent year-on-year, with ABC1 audiences rising 19 per cent. From 2026 she will be joined by presenter Conran as co-host of the new Storm and Alexis programme which will air 11:30am – 12:45pm.

Both Vine and Feltz’s programmes posted strong year-on-year gains in 2025. Jeremy Vine is averaging a 6 per cent share so far this year (Jan–Oct), up 3 per cent year-on-year, with ABC1 audiences rising 4 per cent. The show reaches 500,000 viewers daily and 8.2 million across the period. Meanwhile, since launch in March 2025, Vanessa has reached 4.8 million viewers, with a daily reach of 177,000.

Digital engagement has also soared as combined online audiences grew exponentially in 2025. as Views for all three shows across their social media platforms surged from 93.7 million in 2024 to 528 million in the year to October 2025.

Federico Ruiz, Commissioning Editor, 5, commented: “We are thrilled at next year’s daytime line-up on 5. We’ve put together a presenting family that our viewers love, and we’re excited to give them more of what they want. Where others are cutting back their daytime offerings, we are ramping up. There is no substitute for live TV, and our viewers can now stay with the 5 family from their morning tea, through lunch, to school pick up – where they’ll be by far the most informed people at the gates.”

Ian Rumsey, Managing Director of Content, ITN, added: “I’m delighted that our partnership with 5 goes from strength to strength. We’re proud to be entrusted with making more daytime content for them by making shows with their own identities, and the common theme of putting viewers opinions first.”
