The Global Gaming League (GGL) has announced the release of its first event — SZN ZERO — a high-energy video game competition between T–Pain and his NB Grizzlies vs NE-YO and his GNTLMNS Gaming Team — on YouTube. This unique approach at competitive gaming aims to cement video gaming as the next major sport, igniting a new era of entertainment where gaming collides with celebrity, music, fashion, and culture.

The opening battle saw music icons and lifelong gamers T–Pain and NE-YO captain squads of creators and gamers across a lineup of fan-favorite titles, including Tetris, Call of Duty, Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3+4, Trackmania and Tekken 8.

Viewers will also get to meet new GGL team owner Flavor Flav, who introduces his family-focused team and watch a half-time performance from hip hop artist Rich the Kid.  Host Adam W., (recently named one of the nations top influencers in a Forbes cover story),  and other surprise celebrity guests brought comedy, music, and over-the-top energy to the stage.

Viewers will witness a series of key moments: Music Icon and reality show legend Flavor Flav unveiling his new family-focused team, a high-energy halftime performance by hip-hop star Rich the Kid, along with amusing and witty hosting from Adam W., recently profiled by Forbes as one of the nation’s top 25 creators. With surprise celebrity appearances, live performances, and over-the-top theatrics, the event represents a new form of sports and gaming entertainment positioned to introduce video gaming to the masses.

The T–Pain vs NE-YO event marks the first event of Global Gaming League’s SZN Zero, building toward the championship in November.
