Philo, the live TV streaming service in the US, has announced the expansion of its Core package through a new partnership with Warner Bros Discovery. Effective immediately, Philo Core subscribers gain access to the ad-supported tiers of HBO Max and discovery+ as part of their subscription.

Current subscribers will receive access to both premium services at their current price for one month, after which the Core package increases to $33 monthly. New subscribers can access the enhanced Core package immediately at $33 per month, when billed directly through Philo.

“In today’s environment, it’s no longer enough to own just one component of the viewership equation,” said Mike Keyserling, Philo COO. “Modern platforms must provide a unified experience and serve every mode — live, VoD, FAST, SVoD — to retain relevance and revenue. The addition of the HBO Max library and its premium IP to our bundle, means we can give our customers more of what they’ve been looking for, at an exceptional value.”
