Movistar raises speeds and prices
November 30, 2020
From David Del Valle in Madrid
Spain’s largest telco Movistar is increasing its Fusión monthly fee by up to €3 in exchange for more fibre optic speed – up to 1 Gbps from the current 600 Mbps. Even those with the lowest speed of 100 Mbps will see their broadband speed increase to 300 Mbps.
Fusion 0 package will cost €55 a month, €2 more and also including 55 TV channels. All the other Fusión packages will cost €3 more a month.
The battle for subscribers in Spain is now turning its attention to broadband speeds, and similar moves from rival operators are expected in the coming weeks.
