Acorn TV, the streaming service for British and international TV content operated by AMC Networks-owned RLJ Entertainment, has launched in Spain with a library of TV series and documentaries from the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland and Canada.
The service offers English-language content with English and Spanish subtitles for €4.99 per month. To access the service, customers have to subscribe through acorn.tv and they can also watch it via apps on Apple TV, Android, iPhone, iPads and Roku streaming players.
The service includes TV series from BBC, ITV, Channel 4, ABC Australia and RTE.
“Streaming is booming in Spain with 74 per cent of users watching TV content through the Internet, placing Spain as the largest streaming penetration country in the world even ahead of USA”, said Miguel Penella, CEO of RLJ Entertainment.
