Netflix, Atresmedia content deal
July 17, 2018
From David Del Valle in Madrid
Netflix and Atresmedia, one of the largest TV group in Spain, have signed a content agreement whereby the streaming service will have priority rights to Atresmedia content to distribute it internationally.
Netflix is fast becoming one of the biggest distributor of Spanish TV content globally, and the deal allows Atresmedia to showcase its content internationally.
Atresmedia has announced that all its TV series henceforth will have a duration of 50 minutes (per episode) – shorter than usual – to distribute them more easily.
