May 2, 2012
Accedo and maxdome, a German VoD provider, have announced a partnership to develop next generation SmartTV apps for multiple platforms.
The first official app being developed under the partnership will be the Panasonic VieraConnect application. The application, which gives viewers access to a vast catalogue of 45,000 video titles, including films, series, comedy shows, documentaries, music, children’s programmes, and many more, has been made available this month on 2012 Panasonic Viera TVs.
The two companies are also working together to develop next generation VoD apps for other platforms and these are expected to launch in 2012 across a number of different devices globally.
