Morega awarded patent for portability technology
July 20, 2011
Morega Systems, a developer of content portability solutions, has received patent approval for its breakthrough content portability technology. This unique content delivery solution gives satellite, cable and IPTV service providers, and equipment manufacturers an alternative way to extend premium, multimedia content beyond the television and the set-top box to support the Connected Home and TV Everywhere.
“We are thrilled to receive this patent, which further validates the uniqueness of our TV Everywhere solution. Our technology allows service providers and manufacturers to give consumers a choice in how they extend their content to view it on alternative devices such as tablets, mobile phones, and PCs,” said Philip Poulidis, president and CEO of Morega Systems. “We have essentially put legs on the TV while preserving the interest of the entire TV Everywhere value chain, from content providers and advertisers to service providers and consumers.”
