Spaniards will only be able to watch 23 football matches from Euro 2016 (out of a total of 51) on TV as no broadcaster has managed to reach a deal with UEFA to broadcast the whole tournament.

Despite Mediaset and beIN Sports negotiating with UEFA over the last few weeks no deal has been reached and 28 matches will be left without a TV transmission.

Mediaset’s Tele 5 will only show 23 games, including all those involving the Spanish national team and the key knockout rounds for which it will pay around €35 million.

Both Mediaset and beIN Sports refused to pay €10 million more for the other 28 matches, including the Group D games that do not feature Spain, and some marquee clashes, such as Italy v Belgium.
