Vubiquity supports EST for Frontier
January 5, 2016
Vubiquity, the global technology solution for premium content services, has announced a three year deal with Frontier Communications, a US telecommunications and multiplatform video distribution (MVPD) company, in which Vubiquity will provide all the Electronic Sell Through (EST) films and television series for Frontier’s pending acquisition of 1.2 million Verizon FiOS customers in California, Texas and Florida.
“We’re extremely pleased to be supporting our colleagues at Frontier as they increase their base of customers as part of the pending Verizon transaction, said Darcy Antonellis, CEO of Vubiquity. Providing the library of content and managed services support for Frontier’s EST offering is a terrific offering for its customers as they look to purchase digital theatrical and TV titles for their libraries. Supporting EST is critical for content creators and services providers like Frontier worldwide.”
Vubiquity will provide Frontier with a true end-to-end solution, licensing EST titles – from major blockbusters to smaller independent films as well as select television series – while managing the storage, transcoding and delivery of premium digital content to approximately 1.2 million households in California, Texas and Florida.
