Rebuck departs BSkyB board
June 12, 2012
Dame Gail Rebuck is to stand down as a director of BSkyB, the latest change to the satellite broadcaster’s board after criticism from investors about its independence.
Rebuck is to be replaced by Tracy Clarke, the group head of human resources and communications at Standard Chartered Bank, who has been appointed to the Sky board as an independent non-executive director.
The head of publisher Random House has been a director of BSkyB for nine years. In that time she has served as a member of BSkyB’s audit committee and as chairman of the company’s sustainable business programme Bigger Picture.
Rebuck is the third board member to retire since November, following Allan Leighton and David Evans.
