Utah Scientific expands Technology Partner Programme

Utah Scientific has announced the expansion of its Technology Partner Programme with the addition of Audinate, Bitfocus and Skaarhoj, three industry players whose solutions significantly enhance hybrid SDI and IP workflows. These integrations build on Utah Scientific’s focus on interoperability, giving broadcasters, production facilities, and AV organisations more ways to incorporate emerging technologies while preserving the tools and workflows they rely on today.

Through its new relationship with Audinate, Utah Scientific is implementing native Dante audio I/O within its routers, eliminating the need for external MADI–to–Dante conversion and greatly supplementing IP audio routing for engineers. This enhancement aligns directly with the Dante–enabled mixers and consoles widely used in broadcast and AV environments, making it easier for facilities to move high–channel–count audio over Ethernet and streamline their transition toward more flexible IP–based audio workflows. “We are excited to welcome Utah Scientific into the Dante ecosystem. By integrating Dante’s AoIP technology into their hybrid SDI and IP workflows, broadcasters can now have a solid ‘best–of–both–worlds’ solution,” said Joshua Rush, CMO of Audinate.

Bitfocus introduces seamless interoperability with the company’s Buttons facility–wide control platform. As part of the Bitfocus Connections Program, Utah Scientific routers can now be switched and automated alongside other devices in a hybrid SDI/IP production environment. This enables facilities that rely on modern, flexible automation tools to incorporate Utah Scientific routing without custom engineering, proprietary interfaces, or workflow workarounds.

The addition of Skaarhoj expands Utah Scientific’s control surface options by enabling the Skaarhoj AirFly Pro to function as a streamlined and cost–effective desktop control alternative. This integration gives operators a compact, affordable desktop control surface that complements Utah Scientific’s existing control solutions, offering intuitive functionality and day–to–day operational efficiency in a familiar format. Utah Scientific’s broader partner ecosystem further strengthens this hybrid approach, encompassing companies whose technologies complement Utah Scientific’s routing and master control platforms across IP, SDI, and fibre–based workflows. This ecosystem includes Apantac, whose multiviewers are widely used for production monitoring; Arista, whose switches anchor many large–scale ST 2110 deployments; Embrionix, whose 2110 processing, JPEG XS capabilities, and SFP–based conversion tools support critical IP transition paths; and Norwia, a long–time supplier of fibre–transport solutions for broadcasters.

NETGEAR also plays an important role in supporting ST 2110 buildouts. Its M4350 switch family provides an economical, readily available foundation for IP infrastructures, with the latest models offering grandmaster and boundary–clock functionality, redundant power options, and up to 100G bandwidth. NETGEAR’s Engage Controller software further simplifies deployment with AV–oriented configuration tools.
