October 20, 2025

In September, 1 per cent of Internet Service Providers (ISPs) saw an increase of 0.4 Mbps, 26 per cent rose by 0.2 Mbps, 72 per cent stayed the same, and 1 per cent decreased by 0.2 Mbps on the Netflix ISP Speed Index – a monthly update on which ISPs provide the best prime-time Netflix streaming experience.

Twenty-four countries and regions were in the top performance tier this month, with Australia, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Luxembourg, Malaysia, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Romania, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, the United Kingdom, and the United States all registering an average speed of 3.2 Mbps.

This month also saw Movistar in Peru split into two listings, Movistar Fiber and Movistar DSL.

While there were no countries with overall speed gains or losses this month, several had ISPs that showed noticeable changes. Kuwait was the only country with an ISP to see a notable speed increase since August’s results, with FASTtelco rising by 0.4 Mbps from 2.2 to 2.6 Mbps. On the other hand, Kuwait also had two ISPs drop by 0.2 Mbps this month, with Zain decreasing from 3.0 to 2.8 Mbps and Zajil Telecom from 2.6 to 2.4 Mbps. SuperCanal in Argentina and Cable & Wireless in Panama also fell by 0.2 Mbps, from 2.8 to 2.6 Mbps and 3.2 to 3.0 Mbps, respectively.
