Spain’s largest telco, Movistar, has announced that it will extend its 5G network to Castilla-León before the end of the year with the coverage of 90 municipalities in the region.
The launch is added to the one in the largest cities in country (Madrid, Barcelona, Sevilla, Malaga, Valencia, Zaragoza and Murcia) that the company recently announced.
Movistar plans to reach 75 per cent of the population this year and 100 per cent in 2025. Movistar has allied with Nokia and Ericsson to deploy its 5G networks.
