There’s a groundswell of complaints from Nigerian subscribers to MultiChoice’s DStv and GoTV pay services.
Subscribers are upset over two price hikes in barely three months from the South African pay-TV giant.
MultiChoice has sent letters to subscribers, with some saying: “Dear Customer, please be advised of a price adjustment on your DStv Premium package from September 1. Your new monthly subscription will be N18,400.”
In May, viewers were warned that prices were rising. Typically, the Premium package rose at the time from Naira 15,800 to N16,200 (about $42) per month.
Another recent price warning talks of a rise to Naira 12,400 from N10,925 which was levied barely three months ago.
