Schmidt to step down as Sky Deutschland chair

Sky Deutschland chairman Carsten Schmidt has confirmed he will step down from the role at the end of the year.
He will remain with the company as senior advisor through 2020 whilst Devesh Raj, formerly Sky Continental Europe COO and interim Sky Deutschland CCO, will become chairman of the executive board.
Schmidt has been with Sky Deutschland for over two decades, including four years as CEO.

With over five million customers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and a powerful team, the company is ready to master the challenges ahead.”
