Liberty Latin America eyes Millicom

Liberty Latin America, a wireless and cable operator in South America and the Caribbean, has approached Millicom International Cellular with an acquisition bid, according to a Reuters report.
Liberty Latin America, which is backed by US media mogul John Malone, has been in talks with Millicom, a cable and mobile telephone operator in Latin America and Africa, about a deal for a number of weeks, but any deal remains highly tentative.
Liberty Latin America and Millicom have not responded to the rumours.
