Steve Bannon, formerly Donald Trump’s chief strategist, didn’t have the best of days on January 9^th.  He lost his job as executive chairman of the controversial Breitbart News when its backers pulled their funding, reportedly extremely unhappy at his disparaging comments about the president and his family.

Then, pay-radio operator SiriusXM dropped him from their airwaves, saying that their agreement was with Breitbart and not Steve Bannon.  Breitbart had two daily shows (the Patriot Channel) on SiriusXM, and extra coverage at weekends.  Bannon regularly hosted the daily morning show.

However, such was the controversy over Bannon’s statements and alleged comments reported in the Michael Wolff book ‘Fire and Fury’, that celebrity guests declined to appear on interviews on the SiriusXM shows.

SiriusXM put out a brief statement: “Breitbart News has decided to end its relationship with Stephen K. Bannon, therefore he will no longer host on SiriusXM since our programming agreement is with Breitbart News.”
