Canal+ sponsors 83rd Venice International Film Festival

Canal+ is strengthening its commitment to the 83rd Venice International Film Festival by becoming an Official Sponsor, as part of an agreement concluded with La Biennale di Venezia.
The group is also renewing its partnership with RAI, providing exclusive broadcasting of the 83rd Venice International Film Festival – La Biennale di Venezia – to its subscribers in France, French overseas departments and territories, Monaco, Andorra, Switzerland, Belgium, Luxembourg, Mauritius and French-speaking Africa.
Canal+ will provide in-depth coverage at the film festival, with exclusive access to its highlights: the red carpet, opening and closing ceremonies produced by RAI, as well as special editorial and digital coverage, bringing its subscribers all the news from the event. Aselection of films presented or receiving awards at previous editions of the Festival will also be available on the Canal+ App.

Founded in 1932, The Venice International Film Festival – La Biennale di Venezia is the oldest film festival in the world and one of the most prestigious. Each year, it brings together talents in international cinema and provides a showcase for contemporary creativity. Now in its 83rd edition, the Venice International Film Festival will run from September 2nd to 12th. Maggie Gyllenhaal will preside over the Jury. George Clooney will receive the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement.
