TNT Sports, HBO Max to deliver all-day broadcast for 2026 FA Cup Final

The magic of the Emirates FA Cup Final takes place on May 16th as seven-time winners Manchester City meet eight-time winners Chelsea in the final live on TNT Sports and HBO Max – which matchday coverage beginning at 9am.
From the first coffee of the morning to kick-off beneath the arch at Wembley Stadium, TNT Sports will deliver a celebration of the coveted game – combining tradition, entertainment, nostalgia and analysis across a day-long broadcast.
Coverage will build throughout the day right up to the post-match celebrations and aftermath. Across broadcast, digital and social platforms, fans can expect TV bringing fans closer to the occasion wherever they are watching from whatever device they are following on.
Last season’s FA Cup-winning captain Joel Ward, former Manchester City defender Joleon Lescott and retired Lionesses midfielder Karen Carney will join the build-up throughout the day.
9-11am: Wake Up at Wembley with Craig Doyle and Becky Ives
A morning built around the atmosphere of Cup Final Day Coverage begins at 9:00am with a special Breakfast Show overlooking Wembley, offering panoramic views across the home of English football as supporters begin to gather for the biggest domestic fixture of the season.
The show will capture the unique anticipation to Cup Final morning, combining live features, behind the scenes walkabouts, fan stories and memorable moments from FA Cup history. The first hour of the show will also be broadcast live on talkSPORT and the TNT Sports team will welcome talkSPORT presenter Jason Cundy to the sofa.
Food, Football and Conversation
TNT Sports presents a special edition of FA Cup Final Breakfast and later in the morning FA Cup Final Brunch centred around food, conversation and football storytelling.
Hosted by Joe Cole and Ugo Monye, the duo will be joined by chef Tom Sellers and a series of high-profile guests including comedian Kevin Day and former Lionesses and Manchester City striker Ellen White.
The programme will explore the enduring magic of the FA Cup — from unforgettable giant-killings to defining finals and the players who shaped the competition’s history. The programme will combine club storytelling and behind-the-scenes insight centred around the shared experience of the matchday meal.
11am-1pm: Building towards kick-off
Broadcasting live from multiple locations including team hotels, supporter hubs, and Wembley Way, the programme becomes a live hub for all the latest build-up featuring club legends, fan reaction and live updates as both teams prepare to arrive at the stadium.
Joint top-scorers in this season’s competition Lyle Taylor (Chelmsford City) and Liam Atkinson (Longridge Town) will also join the show before Steven Gerrard and Cole offer a deep dive into the tactical matchup taking viewers into the journeys of the two finalists and how the final will be won.
From 1pm: Match build-up
From 1:00pm, coverage moves pitch side. Hosted by Laura Woods alongside a star-studded punditry line-up featuring Gerrard, Cole and Joe Hart.
Led by the commentary team of Darren Fletcher, Ally McCoist and Gerrard, the Emirates FA Cup Final between Chelsea and Manchester City will also return to its traditional kick-off time of 3pm.
This year’s FA Cup Final will mark the 49th match broadcast live by TNT Sports during this season’s competition, with Luton Town’s 4-3 First Round victory over Forest Green Rovers in October the first tie shown live on TNT Sports.
Across the 2025–26 FA Cup, TNT Sports has brought viewers live coverage from grounds across the country — from Chelmsford to Chesterfield, Brackley to Birmingham City, and from Manchester United to Macclesfield — in its inaugural season as broadcaster of the world’s most prestigious domestic knockout competition.
The Emirates FA Cup is the first final in a fortnight of showpiece events broadcast live on TNT Sports and HBO Max that also features the UEFA Europa League Final between Aston Villa and Freiburg (May 20th), the UEFA Conference League Final between Crystal Palace vs Rayo Vallecano (May 27th), the UEFA Champions League Final between Arsenal and holders Paris Saint-Germain (May 30th) and the Adobe Women’s FA Cup Final where Brighton & Hove Albion will take on Manchester City (May 31st) at Wembley.
