BBC News Polska partners with Onet.pl
October 16, 2025
Content from BBC News Polska is now available on the Polish news website, Onet.pl, following a syndication agreement between the two news organisations. Users of Onet can now see the BBC’s Polish-language news in text and video on the Onet homepage and via a branded BBC News Polska section.
BBC News Polska is part of the BBC World Service. BBC World Service Head of Business Development – Americas and Europe, Fred Durman, commented: “This exciting collaboration positions Onet as our key partner in Poland. Joining forces with Onet will help the BBC World Service to reach new audiences, providing Polish-speakers with trusted news and analysis, and countering disinformation.”
Onet is owned by digital publisher Ringier Axel Springer Polska. Michał Pietniczka, Director of Partnerships at Ringier Axel Springer Polska, added: “Onet has been setting standards in Polish media for years – focusing on quality, authenticity, and trust. The BBC is a brand that perfectly aligns with this philosophy. Together, we deliver content that matters to users. Our partnership with BBC News Polska is proof that quality attracts quality.”
BBC News Polska’s launch added to the BBC’s decades-long presence in Poland through its commercial arm, BBC Studios. In Poland, BBC Studios distributes the television channels BBC News, BBC Earth, BBC First, BBC Brit, BBC Lifestyle, CBeebies, and the BBC Player service.
