ITV commissions Talking Royals visual podcast

Charlene White is fronting a new ITV commission, Talking Royals, for ITV and ITVX, taking viewers behind the royal headlines with discussions and expert analysis.
Every Sunday, White will be joined by ITV News Royal Editor Chris Ship, ITV News royal expert Lizzie Robinson and a host of guests.
Chris Ship and Lizzie Robinson have reported on the Royal Family for almost a decade, in the UK and on tours all over the world, through the births, marriages and deaths which have shaped the family as it modernises and changes. Each week, the team will bring their insights and analysis, the news making the headlines, and the lighter, eccentric moments of covering the royal beat.
The first episode on comes on September 21st and will report extensively on Trump’s State Visit to the UK.
The show will also delve into ITN’s extensive royal archive, looking at the moments that made headlines, and made history. Highlights on the visual podcast include an interview with the late Queen’s press secretary Ailsa Anderson with anecdotes of summers with the royals at Balmoral, analysis of Harry’s latest court case, the royal children at Wimbledon, Meghan Markle’s Netflix series and more.
ITN currently produce the successful series for YouTube and all podcast platforms; this is the first time ITV have commissioned an ITV News visual podcast for television.
White commented: “I’m really excited about bringing Talking Royals to audiences on ITV. It is the go-to for any royal watcher who sees the headlines and wants to know more. There is never a shortage of topics to talk about, and we have a lot of fun too.”
