Spain: 36.9m using streaming platforms

Streaming platforms are continuing to gain momentum in Spain, with 36.9 million Spaniards adults (aged 18 and above), having access to them in March 2025, according to the latest report from Barlovento Comunicacion.
Platforms such as Netflix, Prime Video and Disney+ are now reaching 94.8 per cent of the Country’s population according to the report.
The most popular TV series in the country in March included Adolescence (Netflix) pulling in 5.6 million viewers, followed by Aqui no hay quien viva (Netflix, Atresplayer, Prime Video)) with 4.9 million people and Squid Game (Netflix) with 4.7 million people.
YouTube leads the monthly access for online platforms with 28.1 million unique users, 72 per cent of the population. Netflix leads the VoD/SVoD services with with 22.2 million users (56.9 per cent), Prime Video follows with 21 million (54 per cent). Disney Plus is next with 14.5 million (37.1 per cent), then Max with 12.6 million (32.4 per cent), Movistar Plus with 9.6 million (24.5 per cent) and RTVE Play with 7.4 million (18.9 per cent).
