Samsung rolls out One UI to smart TVs

Samsung has commenced rolling out its One UI interface, previously only available on its moblie devices, to its smart TVs.
Samsung has released a One UI update based on the Tizen 8.0 operating system available to download onto its 2023 smart TVs, whilst new 2024 models will now come with One UI as standard.
With the update, users will receive a new, streamlined interface with that makes it easier to navigate their TV. There are also enhancements to the Game Bar and search tabs, and a range of other new features, such as widget and wallpaper support for the home screen.
Samsung said its smart TVs will get continue to get operating system updates for at least seven years. The Korean company recently revealed plans to unify its software experience across all product categories to offer users a more cohesive ecosystem, with moves expected in 2025. The company has evidently decided to move ahead with its plans much sooner.
