May 9, 2023
From David Del Valle in Madrid
Tougher competition in the market had a negative impact on MásMóvil in the first quarter. The Spanish telco reported €57 million losses versus €40 million in the same period last year.
Competition from local and regional operators such as Digi, Avatel and Finetwork affected MásMóvil, whose revenues only grew by 1 per cent to €740 million.
As of March 2023, MásMóvil had 15.4 million active lines, out of which 3.3 million are broadband lines.
EBITDA amounted to €286 million, up 3 per cent, although debt reached €6,44 billion versus €6.28 billion at the end of 2022.
