My-HD “non-payment” to broadcaster issues

Discovery has pulled a couple of its channels from the MENA region’s My-HD pay-TV operation citing non-payment of carriage fees.
BroadcastPro ME reports that Discovery Science and its Animal Plant channel were pulled on November 21st.
Amanda Turnbull, Discovery’s VP for the MENA region, is quoted as saying that it was with great reluctance that the channels were no longer available, and this was the very first time in the region that channels had been taken down.
My-HD is still promoting the documentary channels (along with a couple of Nat-Geo channels) on its website which it cites as the “,ost affordable pay-TV platform in the MENA region”.
