Euskaltel, ZTE open tech facilities in Spain
July 4, 2019
From David Del Valle in Madid
Euskaltel, the fifth largest telco in Spain, and China’s ZTE have opened a technology centre in Gijón, north of Spain, to server the telco network of the Spanish operator.
With 40 staff the centre will also play an important role in Euskaltel’s 5G deployment that also includes cable operators R and Telecable.
The move is part of the agreement between Euskaltel and ZTE signed earlier this year for the expansion of Euskaltel throughout Spain.
