Spanish FTA viewing slumps
November 7, 2018

Spanish viewers traditionally have amongst the highest viewing times per day in the world. Typical daily viewing during the months of October in 2016 and 2017 was about 235 minutes/day when linear and non-linear TV consumption was included.
However, by October this year that loyalty had slumped to just 220 minutes (for linear and non-linear viewing) and just 198 minutes for Spanish FTA channels.
The numbers, from Atresmedia, do not include the time spent watching FTA TV via other devices other than a normal TV. Atresmedia (Atresmedia Corporación de Medios de Comunicación SA) broadcasts Antena 3 amongst other media interests.
