Netflix suffers global outage
June 12, 2018
Netflix suffered a global outage on June 11th; with subscribers unable to use the service for around 45 minutes.
In a statement posted on Twitter just before 11pm (UK time), Netflix said: “We are aware of members having trouble streaming on all devices. We are investigating the issue and appreciate your patience.”
Netflix’s status page – which is supposed to show when the site is down – was also not working.
A little after 11:30pm, Netflix took to to Twitter again to deliver an update, saying: “The streaming issues we reported earlier have now been resolved. Thank you for your patience, and as always, happy streaming!”
There has thus far been no clues given as to what caused the issues, but service seems to be running smoothly again across the globe.
